Non so se capita anche a voi, ma a volte mi ritrovo a vagare per la mia casa, fermandomi ad ammirare dettagli che catturano il mio sguardo: un vaso posato su un mobile, magari contenente dei fiori freschi, con un quadro o una grafica sullo sfondo. Ogni volta che mi soffermo su questi particolari, mi sorprende una sensazione di benessere e armonia. Lo stesso succede quando mi trovo con la mia camera in spazi pubblici, di fronte a edifici o percorrendo strade; immediatamente sorge in me il desiderio di organizzare lo scenario come se fosse un quadro, giocando con le linee verticali e orizzontali, le zone di luce e quelle d’ombra, le prospettive naturali o forzate dalla mia visione. Cerco di comporre un’immagine che trasmetta quella stessa sensazione di equilibrio e piacere che percepisco, catturandola con il mio obiettivo fotografico. È così che la fotografia diventa il mio mezzo per fermare il tempo, per catturare istanti fugaci e renderli eterni. In ogni scatto, mi approprio di un pezzo di mondo, lo faccio mio, e lo porto con me come un tesoro prezioso.

I don’t know if it happens to you as well, but sometimes I find myself wandering around my house, stopping to admire details that catch my eye: a vase placed on a piece of furniture, perhaps containing fresh flowers, with a painting or graphic in the background. Every time I focus on these particulars, I’m struck by a feeling of well-being and harmony. The same thing happens when I’m out in public spaces, facing buildings or walking down streets; immediately, the desire to arrange the scene as if it were a painting arises within me, playing with vertical and horizontal lines, areas of light and shadow, natural or forced perspectives from my vision. I try to compose an image that conveys that same sense of balance and pleasure I perceive, capturing it with my camera lens. This is how photography becomes my means of stopping time, capturing fleeting moments and making them eternal. With every shot, I take ownership of a piece of the world, make it mine, and carry it with me like a precious treasure.
