PAOLO GUIDOTTI ALL’OPERA TRA SCALPELLI E SGORBIE

Ho seguito Paolo Guidotti durante la realizzazione di un’opera particolare, di grandi dimensioni, che unisce
materiali e tecniche di lavorazione diversi: il legno, scolpito e dipinto, insieme al lamierino e il ferro piegato per le parti semoventi.
Ho osservato Paolo che come un novello “mastro geppetto” si aggirava armato di sgorbie e scalpelli attorno a compensati di varie forme e spessori.
Il risultato è stato entusiasmante: un’opera ricca di tracce diverse, espressione di una terra segnata e primitiva.
L’opera, destinata ad uno studio milanese, ne valorizza e arricchisce lo spazio.

I followed Paolo Guidotti during the building of a particularly large piece of art, combining different materials and processing techniques: wood, carved and painted, together with sheet metal and iron bend for the moving parts.
I observed Paolo who was wandering around plywoods of various shapes and thicknesses, as a new “Master Geppetto”, armed with gouges and chisels.
The result was exciting: a piece full of different tracks, expression of a marked and primitive land.
The artwork, destined to a study in Milan, enhances and enriches the space.
