Nella città di Milano è in corso una mostra all’interno degli spazi del museo dell’ADI, il museo del design italiano, di fotografie italiane dedicate ai vincitori del compasso d’oro. All’interno di questa esibizione, figura uno scatto di mia realizzazione, che ha rappresentato per me una stimolante opportunità di mettermi alla prova nella creazione dell’immagine per un manifesto dedicato a Rodrigo Rodriguez, presidente e amministratore delegato di Cassina dal 1982 al 1991, presidente di Federlegno-Arredo dal 1998 al 2002, e vicepresidente di Flos dal 1999 al 2014. La foto ritrae una fiat Panda, compasso d’oro nel 1981, che viaggia su una strada proiettata all’infinito, e che ha sul portapacchi una poltrona Maralunga di Cassina e una lampada Luminator di Flos, ambedue oggetti di design vincitori del compasso d’oro. La principale complessità per questo scatto, è stato reperire il materiale; nessuno voleva prestare la Panda e la lampada ha rischiato di arrivare in ritardo. Presso l’ADI sono già esposte tre delle mie immagini che ritraggono prodotti insigniti del Compasso d’Oro, testimoniando il contributo dei fotografi nel diffondere il design di valore a livello mondiale.

In Milan, there is currently an exhibition taking place within the spaces of the ADI museum, the museum of Italian design, featuring Italian photographs dedicated to the winners of the Compasso d’Oro. Within this exhibition, there is a shot of my creation, which represented for me a challenging opportunity to test myself in creating the image for a poster dedicated to Rodrigo Rodriguez, president and CEO of Cassina from 1982 to 1991, president of Federlegno-Arredo from 1998 to 2002, and vice president of Flos from 1999 to 2014. The photo depicts a Fiat Panda, a Compasso d’Oro winner in 1981, traveling on a road projected to infinity, with a Cassina Maralunga armchair and a Flos Luminator lamp on the roof rack, both design objects that have won the Compasso d’Oro. The main challenge for this shot was sourcing the materials; nobody wanted to lend the Panda, and there was a risk of the lamp arriving late. Three of my images portraying Compasso d’Oro-winning products are already exhibited at ADI, testifying to the photographers’ contribution in spreading valuable design worldwide.
