LO STILL LIFE E IL VETRO: UN MATERIALE VERSATILE ED ELEGANTE DA FOTOGRAFARE

Come fotografo di still life ho spesso a che fare con il vetro e il cristallo, materiali duttili che si prestano a tante possibilità di realizzazione.

Il vetro lascia entrare la luce e ne trattiene sempre un po’ prima di farsi attraversare del tutto. Fotografandolo si crea sempre un’ immagine d’effetto, molto elegante. Mi sono divertito a selezionare dei fotocolors realizzati per clienti come Baccarat, Driade, Barovier & Toso e Orrefors, per i quali avevo sperimentato delle soluzioni inusuali, per stemperare un po’ l’eleganza e la sofisticatezza di manufatti quali Follies di Driade o la collezione Sherry Netherlands di Matteo Thun per Barovier & Toso.

As a still life photographer I often deal with the glass and the crystal, ductile materials that lend themselves to so many possibilities of realization.

The glass lets the light come in and the light lasts a little before getting through at all. Photographing the glass always creates a suggestive and very elegant image. I enjoyed to select some photocolors made for clients such as Baccarat, Driade, Barovier & Toso and Orrefors, for whom I experienced unusual solutions to temper a little the elegance and the sophistication of artifacts such as Driade Follies or the collection Sherry Netherlands by Matteo Thun for Barovier & Toso.
