IL PONTE DI EXPO 2015, UN SEGNO TANGIBILE CHE INAUGURA IL GRANDE EVENTO DI MILANO

Seguo i lavori del ponte di Expo da quasi un anno.

Alle ruspe e ai cumuli di terra tutt’intorno, a poco a poco si sono aggiunti una varietà di padiglioni diversi per stili, formando un caos giocoso molto simile a mio avviso a quello di un Luna Park.

Il ponte è la soglia di Expo 2015.

Ora che siamo giunti alla tanto attesa inaugurazione, con tutti i suoi ritardi e le sue polemiche, il progetto dello studio Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and partners di Milano mi sembra l’unico segno tangibile di tutta l’area. La struttura del ponte di Expo 2015 è infatti elegante e equilibrata, un punto di riferimento preciso anche notturno grazie all’ illuminazione a Led degli archi, ad opera dello studio Metis Lighting.

I followed the construction work of the Expo bridge for almost a year.

After bulldozers and mounds of earth all around, gradually a variety of different pavilions with different styles have been added, creating in my opinion a playful chaos very similar to that of an amusement park.

The bridge is the threshold of Expo 2015.

Now that we have reached the long-awaited inauguration, with all its delays and its controversies, the project by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners in Milan seems to me the only tangible sign of the whole area. The structure of the bridge of Expo 2015 is indeed elegant and balanced, a precise point of reference even at night thanks to the Led lighting of the arches, made by the studio Metis Lighting.
